When you took your membership vows in the UMC, you agreed to give your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service and your witness.  There are several opportunities for giving and many ways to give to Carlson.
Your weekly giving (unless specified otherwise) goes to the general fund.  This supports the day-to-day ministry and operation of the church.  It covers apportionments, insurance, salaries, supplies, VBS, youth & children’s ministry, maintenance, capital projects, etc.  The 2021 general fund budget is $381,252.  Monthly income needed to fully fund the budget is $31,771.
Opportunities to give over and above your regular, weekly giving can be designated to the Building Fund (used for Hurricane Irma repairs and SBA loan repayment), our Cuba sister church (Jesucristo Rey Poderoda), the FL United Methodist Children’s Home, Mary & Martha Funeral Ministry, Missions, Operation Backpack, Good Samaritan Fund, or the Sewing Angels.  These can be designated on your check or on the outside of a giving envelope when giving on Sunday, or selected when giving online or through the Carlson App.
